What does the time control law imply?

  • Since the publication of Royal Decree-Law 8/2019, of March 8, on urgent measures for social protection and the fight against labor precariousness in the working day.

  • It is mandatory to keep a daily record of the working day, with the specific start and end time of the working day. It is also advisable to keep daily breaks, whether legally or conventionally required or voluntary.

  • This time control must respect the rights of workers to privacy provided for in Article 20 bis of the Workers' Statute, which refers to the Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights.
